  1. Monthly Flex Plans for non SPOT X devices

    Important enough to generate another comment. I love your product, and even though I was on hold for 40 minute until customer service picked up they were extremely pleasant (talked to billing rep as well), but the annual cost for me is excruciating painful given I only hike a couple times a year if I am lucky. Please give us the same option you have provided to GEN X. Thank you!

  2. Allow service cancellation via My Account

    To make it easier to cancel subscription. I contacted someone months ago to have our subscription cancelled and thought it had been. To find out it had not. We have not used the Spot device since last year. Now I call and have to be called back or to call again to just cancel my account when I was told after the first year it could be cancelled at anytime.

  3. Phone app to edit message profiles and device settings.

    It will make changes on your message profiles easier and faster.
    Even better it It could be integrated with your phone agenda.

  4. text and check in notification

    to show if your check in notification, text, tracking , messages have been successfully sent. right now it does not show if they have worked or not. we have no way to see if our messages are being delivered.

  5. Longer Data Storage

    I would like to see SPOT save the history of a customer's trip inside the account for the life of the account.
    Strava (iPhone) for example retains all you have done and it offers summaries"

  6. An affordable plan for the GSP-1

    The economic pressure of going to a different device other than my current GPS-1700 is overwhelming. All of the bush pilots and outfitters are now able to communicate by text, so my need for a voice compatible device has diminished. I will continue to use my current phone if a reasonable plan is offered. Otherwise I will find another, more affordable solution to my communication needs. I have cancelled my credit card so that it will not be automatically changed.

  7. SpotX should tone when sending SOS

    When SOS is activated SpotX could make sound. Then if you could not see the device at least you could hear it

    Make it possible to go to bottom of 14 messages by pressing up when on the first message and back by pressing down

  9. App sync

    So having a Mac/pc app and an iOS app. Why not include a contacts sync within the apps for faster/smoother contacts setup?

  10. Allow more then just the last 50 wp on map

    If a viewer wants to follow a recorded track he must work through each page with 50 points. It would be great if the whole or at least a larger part of a journey could be seen on the map at once

    Acknowledgement signal that a message sent from SPOT Gen 3 device was viewed by the intended recipient.

  14. Explain where to find ESN and Auth Code on all devices

    Tell people where the Auth Number is. You say where to find the ESN why not tell them where the Auth is.

  15. More characters in Predefined and Help SPOT Message

    Please add more characters to Help/SPOT SOV message. 110 is not enough to include local contacts in case of a non life threating event.

  18. Cookie Preferences Button

    It's really, really annoying to have that cookie preferences button overlay still showing even though I have gone in and set the preferences. It obscures things I'm trying to see/do, and once my preferences have been set there is no reason for it being there. Even before preferences have been set it should have been implemented differently to not be obscuring your website. This is especially bad in the settings area. It obscures important settings and information. Get rid of it.

  19. Make the Spot x user friendly

    Waay to complex to set up...need a real hard copy ACCURATE manual for all instructions...the Spot help line is useless for any assistance.

  20. FIX Spot X incompatibility with Inmarsat and Iridium Devices

    We originally had a Global Star Sat. Phone. When they discontinued their Monthly Service Plans and forced yearly contacts on us the phone became cost prohibitive as it was only need 3-4 months a year. Global Star suggested the Spot X as an alternative.
    Having just text capability to our remote ranch would be acceptable so we chose the Spot X. However, our Partners have Inmarsat devices. We just found out that your device (Spot X) is incompatible with both the Inmarsat and Iridium devices even though we can text to them using regular cell phone service when its’ available. …
