  2. Use of multiple devices

    If we could switch between devices ourselves it would save Spot time. Having multiple devices can be very expensive. In many cases we don't use multiple devices at the same time. For example, I have a daughter that lives in Banff and goes out on trips occasionally and has a Gen2, I also have a son who lives at home in Strathmore(2hrs from Banff), he occasionally goes snowmobiling and takes a Gen2. If I could switch between devices myself it would save me having to call in to have your guys do it. Same idea would work for Trace but…

  3. Other valid VISA payment options.

    More payment options - debit Visa cards. I have such a card that is recognized by other companies/websites as a VALID VISA card. Payment is directly taken from my bank account, regardless of account. Unable to complete the transaction to pay my account.

    Could you add a section that tells me what insurance / covered rescue services I have registered / paid for?

  5. Make it easy to replace a unit with another unit

    I tried to swap my SPOT (it went for a deep dive swim) with an equivalent unit but the website does not allow a "sideways" upgrade.

    If the Spot App could be used by others to view the map updates that would be awesome. Then loved ones can "participate" with the adventure from their smartphones.

    The current website to share location info works fine for a computer, but is very difficult for smartphone users.

  7. Ease of activation improvement

    Give better instructions on activation process, have reliable contact ability for customer support. Example- I have no idea what I am supposed to write in the "device name" box. Also, having trouble activating my new device and attempting to submit via email a question/report of my issue. Upon submission I get a message stating that this service is not available. What do I do now?

  8. OVerlay of Distance in the map shown on SPOT account

    think the spot gen3 is lacking a basic function which is telling you your distance travelled . I want to know what distance I went and not carry another device during backpacking trips. Why is this most basic thing not available as part of this device?

    I recently used your customer service and hand an outstanding representative who assisted me. My problem was operator error, and your representative helped me immediately after verifying my information. What a great asset to your company!! I continue to recommend friends to your product and your customer service continued to solidify my actions.

  11. Rotate Photos in adventure

    Currently, my adventure: for the photos section, is loading some, not all, photos incorrectly, on it's side rather than top up. It would be great if there were a function that allowed users to ROTATE photos, crop, edit etc...

    Hi there,
    I'm sure there's a way to do this but I have been logged & searching every possible option to renew & upgrade my plan.
    I don't seem to have been notified that my plan had expired & I'm still searching for how to upgrade & pay..

  13. Why is there no 400 minute pa

    I purchased the Sat Phone for emergency purposes only. I travel with my RV through areas where there is no other phone service. Myself and I am sure many others do this for the same reason. I don’t need a 1500 plan as I will not use all those minutes. I have probably only used maybe 45 minutes in the 3 years I have owned the phone. This to me is a money grab. If I cannot get a smaller plan I will not be renewing my contract. I know of many people in my area that are considering the…

  14. Spot Mentors

    This is something I've been doing for 10 years. Get people onto using Spot and help them with every aspect. I know you guys have 24/7 help but people need to be encouraged to familiarize themselves with the use of the device so they get comfortable with it. Most times before they phone you for help ,they have already been frustrated by the account or the device and get rid of it

  16. Prices wont show

    when setting up a new account, the website wont show me the subscription plans, so I cant complete my account or use my new Spot X. Later on, it says "internal error" please try again later.

  18. SPOT map would smartly draw lines between Start/End of trips. Manual drawing of tracks also.

    Developing a way to enable a trace to be drawn between location points? Both in the app and the SPOT account. A trail between waypoints would make the app/site far more user friendly. Allow for automated lines as well as manual drawing in case trips last over days and the map decides it is not only one trip.

  19. Make i clearer/simpler!

    All I wanted to do was add another e-mail to those who're notified of my location, but your instruction were convoluted/incorrect and clear as mud! C'mon! I shouldn't have to wade so deeply into your system and FAQs to do something so simple!

  20. View raw payload from STINGR modens

    It should be possible to visualize RAW payload data sent from each STINGR device on myAccount website.
