VERY disappointed. I followed all the stateps only to get a "You settings could not be loaded message" Yes, plugged in switch on and I have the Code.
This is a life saving device, your updates should be rock solid.
Again, when I try to update, I receive the message,"unable to locate Spot device, please verify connection". Really, this should be a non-issue and the cord I'm using is workable. I appreciate that someone tried to call last time after I accidentally got it to connect and update.
More of a comment. Have unsuccessfully been trying to "update firmware" for an hour. This should be much easier. The wizard is a remedial class wizard. If there was a different product that had any promise, I'd ditch Spot in a heartbeat. $500 CAD is gonna be a tough sell this winter.
This updating is a real hassle, especially when I am on the road in Mexico, as I am at the present. I do not have a computer on hand, only an IPhone 6s and a MacBook IPad. BTW, the SPOT App does not seem to work on the IPad. What’s up with that? This entire SPOT rigamarole trying to get people on my list to be able to follow my tracking is a pain.
Please do something to make this SPOT 3 more user friendly.
