Wireless firmware update
I just paid for a SPOT X, then paid for activation , and for a service plan, and for GEOS … and cannot use my device because my computer’s OS is too old to manage the firmware updatefile. So I need to buy a new computer, or find a friend.
Surely any device that can communicate by satellite can be tweaked to support wireless firmware update?
Please. Please. We need some kind of cross platform or web enabled firmware option. There are those of us that have worked really hard to get away from both Apple and Windows. We need an option to update that isn't so restrictive! Thanks.
spotx .. updates should work directly with my ipad tablet instead of a computer that I haven't had for a long time I have to go to my neighbor to update / synchronize and you should also add usb / ipad file please
I’m very ****** at this product and the undisclosed shortcomings such as not being able to do a firmware update without a not so common computer nowadays, as well as the unprecedented monthly service fees.this inexpensive appearing and so presented affordable device is no where near worth the not much more required ones such as my iPhone and I pad

you are absolutely right, I am obliged to go to the municipal library to make my updates or to buy a computer.
I only use smartphones and tablets, so I cannot download the firmware updater to update my device. I always need to do this using someone else's computer.
Allowing device firmware to be updated over the air would be great.
